    and just last night I was listening to his son, Lulu singing Bonnie and Clyde with Scarlett Johansson..but i still prefer him with Brigitte Bardot.
    ah yes, Gainsbourg was quite unique, right ?

    I discovered this post and your blog through Tess of Willow Manor. Serge has played an increasingly important role in my life this fall. I always liked his work but only knew a dozen or so tunes and often just dismissed him as a sort of smarmy dirty of man who was still a bit cool. After seeing the bio pic in October, I soon found myself downloading the bulk of his catalog and realizing his genius and subtlety. Some of his lyrics are terrific, even with my limited French.

    Then last weekend I got to see Jane live who honors his legacy with great grace. I wrote a short review of the show on my blog.
