The Sounds of Autumn

I absolutely love Autumn.

And I thought you might like a list of seasonally

appropriate music.

The first being a beautiful flute piece titled

Soir D'Autumne

by the French composer Phillipe Gaubert.

My friend, the brilliant singer Norma Winstone, turned me on to

A String Around Autumn

by Toru Takemitsu.

Here we have Norwegian guitar great Terje Rypdal and a tune titled

Autumn Breeze.

On the Azimuth recording Depart

Norma and friends perform a tune simply titled

Autumn.

The Bill Evans Trio

performs

When Autumn Comes.

And from this very special recording by

Danilo Perez with Claus Ogerman and Orchestra we find

Another Autumn.

Bird chimes in with

Autumn In New York.

I just discovered this Vasant Rai & Oregon recording yesterday.

It's great! The title,

Autumn Song.

Jazz legends John Coltrane & Johnny Hartman perform

Autumn Serenade.

And who could forget the very beautiful song

Autumn

by Edgar Winters?
